Our History
The Imperial Court of Hawai'i was established in 1981 under the Founder & CEO Empress 6 of Los Angles & Empress 23 of Hawai'i Charmaine Lee Andrerson where at that time she had the honor of crowning our 1st Empress of All of Hawai'i Nalani. Empress 1 Nalani along with Empress Charmaine Lee Anderson and their newly formed court broke grounds in successfully fund raising for HIV / AIDS causes and gave the initial 4 fundraising seed monies directly to the Life Foundation. They also helped out with various other charities such as Lima kokua which was an organization founded around gay business owners and helped with sponsorship to the first annual Universal Show Queen Pageant. They also participated for 18 years in the Aloha week parade where the court marched along with other members of the community in putting together floral floats up until September 11, 2001 due to that years cancellation and have not yet gone back. By the end of Empress 1 Nalani reign she along with members of her court signed in to law the Hawaiian Empire Constitution and Bylaws in Oct of 1982. On October 2, 1991 a revised Constitutions and By-Laws was enacted by the Imperial court of Hawai`i. In 1994 we also saw the creation of the 1st Board of Directors when Charmaine Lee Anderson stepped down as Producer of Coronation. In 1996 we saw Charmaine return as founder and producer of the coronation Ball after the dissolvement of the 1st Board. In the year 2000 Charmaine again tried to initiate a new board for 5 years, if the board failed then it would be returned to Charmaine Lee Anderson. In 2007 Charmaine was asked to lead a new board with herself as Founder / CEO. A new Constitution and By-Laws is being written at this time. It is through the diligence and hard work of our past Monarchs, court members, and people of this community that it has been so successful in our endeavors to help the people of Hawai`i.
